Easy and Quick Mouth Watering Appetizers

Using fresh mushrooms is key, so don't buy the mushrooms until either the day of or the day before you prepare these.

Also, try to remove as much of the stem from the mushroom to allow more room for filling.

The more filling that you are able to add to these, the more delicious bite you will get.

Remember To Boil Them First

When it comes to any product that you buy from the produce department, the golden rule is to always wash it before consuming it.

Mushrooms, on the other hand, I prefer to boil these babies.

Mushrooms have so many spaces for dirt and bacteria to hide, that boiling these ensures that you get thoroughly cleaned mushrooms.

Mushrooms Are So Full Of Water!

I was amazed at how much water Mushrooms absorb.

I learned after a few times of making these to absorb as much water from them as possible with a towel or paper towels.

This will keep them moist but allow the filling to thicken up.

Pepperoni Gives These The Best Flavor!

Filling this Mushroom appetizer is easy and can be filled with different things.

If Pepperoni isn't something you like or want, try using chopped Peppers and Cheese.

Or Sausage and breadcrumbs with Cheese.

Pepperoni is my number one go to for these Pizza mushrooms.

Easy Clean-Up

This appetizer is so easy to make, but clean up can be easy as well.

Simply buy a disposable round baking tin and cook them in there.

Throw away when you are done. Simple!

Don't they look mouth watering?

All I can tell you is that these are an addicting appetizer.

I am often asked to bring these to our family dinners on Sunday and they fly off the table first.

I never feel like I made enough.

Check out the recipe below and tell me what you think, I love your comments and sure would love to hear how you liked them too!

Don't Be Afraid To Load Them Up!

I always overfill my mushrooms just a bit, this will give you a perfect bite every time.

I love stuffed mushrooms of any kind.

Cream cheese, cheese and bacon, crab, cheeseburger stuffed or even a simple salsa it doesn’t matter what you put in them, it’s always the appetizer I go for first!

Of course, these Cheddar Pepperoni Pizza Stuffed Mushrooms are on the top my list!

Ingredients

  • Two or more containers of Baby Bella Mushrooms.
  • Pepperoni (about 10-12 slices)
  • Pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup of sharp cheddar cheese and 1/2 cup of mozzarella. Save about 1/4 cup of each on the side for topping
  • 1 tsp of Oregano
  • 1 tsp of Basil
  • 1/2 tsp of granulated Garlic1 tsp of Parsley
  • 1/4 tsp of Salt
  • 1/4 tsp of Pepper
  • 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese

Instructions

1. Remove the stem from the mushroom and scrape out any remaining bits with a spoon. Place the mushrooms in a big saucepan.

2. Cover mushrooms with water and bring to a boil. Boiling ensures you remove all the dirt and bacteria from the mushrooms. The mushrooms will shrink in size, which is why I always get at least 2 containers of mushrooms. Boil for 2 minutes and remove from heat and drain. Rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Transfer the mushrooms to a plate lined with paper towels.

3. Top with paper towels and pat dry. You may have to repeat this step several times. Mushrooms soak up a lot of water.

4. Place mushrooms in a pie tin sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. I use a metal disposable pie tin. You can use a cookie sheet if you do not have a pie tin. Just line your cookie sheet with foil and spray with nonstick spray.

5. In a medium-sized bowl, combine your pepperoni, pizza sauce, cheeses, and seasoning. Mix. Using a spoon, fill your mushrooms with your combined ingredients.

6. Top your mushrooms with your remaining cheese.

7. Broil until your cheese starts to bubble and is golden brown. Serve and Enjoy.
